Who We Are

There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come

Our foundation takes its inspiration from the life and learnings of the late
Mr. G.P. Singh, founder of Bengal Surgicals Ltd. He was a self made changemaker who never allowed his circumstances to define his Destiny and in doing so he improved the lives of many. We have come together now to take his vision forward and continue his legacy of social impact by facilitating higher education for less privileged students from India who deserve the opportunity to shape their own Destiny.

What Drives Us

A student is a future in the making

We aim to support every Indian student from underprivileged backgrounds with exceptional opportunities, made possible through world-class education.

We are working towards this goal by supporting countless Indian underprivileged students with financial support that empowers them to break out of their social and economic circumstances.

The joy of making a difference knows no end

Our torchbearer always believed in living a life full of impact and fulfilling one’s karma till their very last breath. He was able to turn his dreams into reality through hard work, determination and the invaluable gift of education. What we are doing here is looking for many more such hard working and talented individuals who have a deep desire to not be poor, and being that bridge between their present and their future. If you share our vision and want to create impact by empowering young students from underprivileged backgrounds in India, knowing you will change not just one life but one community at a time, please click on the link below and support us. Our Inspiration

The Guiding Light

Find yourself, only in the service of others

Our inspiration was born in a family of limited means in a small village in rural Bihar, India. Schooled under the streetlights of Calcutta, he outshone his modest beginnings through sheer determination and grit, and with the support of a kind mentor who taught him English during his college years in St. Xavier's.

Education was the bridge between him and his dreams. He went on to study law and met his life partner there, and together they set up Bengal Surgicals Ltd., with a socially impactful factory in Kalyani that is now a source of economic development and growth to hundreds of families.

Like a luminary, he paved his path on his own but brought his people along with him and paid it forward in his lifetime. We are continuing his journey and growing his sphere of influence to students across India who need that bridge to access global opportunities.

What we say is what we do

India is one of the fastest growing and largest economies of the world, and yet it is also one of the most difficult places to access opportunities if you are not born to them. Our foundation partners with organisations on the ground, who transform the lives of young people in India by helping them overcome barriers to higher education. We believe, like our patron, that birth should not define one’s potential or limit one’s access to opportunities, and the best way to create social impact is by enabling and empowering the brightest minds.
